INTERNATIONAL performer Bonnie Langford will star as Miss Adelaide in the national production of the smash hit West End musical Guys and Dolls at the Theatre Royal Plymouth from 23 January to 3 February. Ben Richards will star as Sky Masterson, Joe McGann as Nathan Detroit and Lisa Stokke as Sarah Brown. New York in the 40s — small-time gambler Nathan Detroit bets his big time pal Sky Masterson that he can't make the next woman he sees fall in love with him. A finalist in the 2006 television series Dancing On Ice, Bonnie Langford is a veteran of West End musicals, most recently having starred as Roxie Hart in Chicago when the musical transferred to the Cambridge Theatre in London. She has starred in West End productions of Me and My Girl, Cats, The Pirates of Penzance, Gypsy and Gone with the Wind, and also starred in the Fosse musicals Sweet Charity and Fosse. Her films include Bugsy Malone and her television includes The Hot Shoe Show and Doctor Who. Ben Richards has starred in the West End musicals Grease, Saturday Night Fever and The Full Monty, but is probably best-known for his leading roles in the television shows Footballers' Wives and Holby City, as well as being a judge on the prime-time programme Strictly Dance Fever. Joe McGann has starred on television in The Upper Hand, Dangerfield and Heartbeat. His theatre work includes starring as Bill Sykes in Oliver! at the London Palladium. Norwegian-born Lisa Stokke created the starring role of Sophie in Mamma Mia! which she played for a year at the Prince Edward Theatre. Guys and Dolls continues to play to sell-out business at the Piccadilly Theatre in London, where it opened on 1 June 2005 to rave reviews.
