TWO local firms have kindly offered to sponsor the Tavistock Thistles Under 14s this season.
They are Country Roofing, who have given training jackets and Phoenix Development and Joinery who have donated the football strip.
The team are pictured with representatives from each firm together with the new trainer, Colin Bunney, manager, Heather Gibbings and Linesman, Bob Beckingham.
The team showed a much improved performance on Saturday despite losing 4-1 to Tavistock Jets.
The first half saw Thistles create several clear cut chances without taking them, Jets' defence weathered the early storm before Matt Beckingham headed the ball home after a save from the Jets' goalkeeper. Jets came more into the game and scored 2 more goals before the interval.
Thistles started the second half well but failed to create worthwhile chances. Jets picked up the pace and scored twice in the second half.
Man of the match was Andrew Wallace.
