THOSE in Belstone Village Hall on Saturday December 3 will feel like they have stepped back in time, with a special showing of authentic Victorian slides to raise money for charity.

The evening is being organised by Belstone and Area Friends' Group, with the slides being shown by Philip and Rosemary Banham. All proceeds will go to Children's Hospice South West.

The couple will show slides from their extensive collection using an antique showman's lantern, with unique slides of Cornish tin mining, the Victorian workforce in Dartmoor Prison, and some festive slides.

Doors open at 7pm. Tickets are £10 for adults and £8 for children to include a sausage and mash supper. For tickets call Angela Hammond on 01837 840234.
