DOMESTIC Violence and Abuse Service, in South and West Devon, is holding two events this month — a sky jump and an art exhibition — to raise awareness of the charity and raise funds to support people affected by domestic violence and abuse.

Two brave teddy bears and eight terrified humans will be jumping from a tremendous height at Dunkerswell in Honiton on November 18.

The charity is looking for other people to support them in their sky dive by either doing a sky jump, which if you raise £400 you can do for free, sponsor a teddy bear to do the jump for £20, or sponsor the team doing the sky jump.

Domestic Violence and Abuse Service is also holding an art exhibition between November 11 and 26 at Tavistock Gallery, showcasing a selection of local artists work.

Jenny Field, volunteer development manager for the organisation, said: 'We are so lucky that many local artists have agreed to show and sell their work at this event and generously agreed to donate 27% of the sale price to Domestic Violence and Abuse Service.'

Ian Heard, Angela Thomas, Jenny Johnson, Henrietta Farleigh, Thomas Hargreaves and Kate Highham are some of the artists who will display their work.
