TWO Tavistock College students have been appointed as ambassadors to help widen participation in sport.
Sixth formers Katy Scorer and Joel Blatchford were chosen as the college's sports ambassadors thanks to their commitment and ability to act as role models.
They will work with ambassadors from other Devon secondary schools to organise a sports festival and take on leadership roles.
PE teacher and school sports co-ordinator Holly Rippon said: 'Katy and Joel are responsible and approachable, they're good role models and they have the ability to lead. They're an important link between primary and secondary students during sports events and are able to take control.'
