WEST Devon residents have six weeks in which to respond to Dartmoor National Park Authority?s revised deposit of its local plan for the next few years.
The Local Plan: First Review 1995-2011 is available for scrutiny until Friday June 20. Following this period, the revised deposit plan will go before a public inquiry, chaired by an inspector from the planning inspectorate.
The revised plan includes some changes for Dartmoor including a clearer housing policy, a new policy to protect parks and gardens of historic interest and scope for renewable energy schemes.
Changes have also been made in relation to development in some areas ? for example, greater detail is given about the type of development which could be permitted in Mary Tavy.
Anyone wishing to comment on the plan can obtain a representation form from the DNPA at Parke, Bovey Tracey, Newton Abbot, Devon TQ13 9JQ priced at £5 plus £3.50 p&p, or by downloading a form from the website at http://www.dartmoor-npa.gov.uk">www.dartmoor-npa.gov.uk
