CORNWALL Council and Calstock Parish Council have organised a community event to discuss affordable housing needs in the parish and the possible location, scale and design of new affordable housing schemes.

The communities of St Ann's Chapel and Albaston are being invited to the event on Thursday May 19 at the Tamar Centre in Drakewalls between 4pm and 8pm.

The event follows on from a public consultation exercise undertaken late last year, and will include display boards providing information, including what affordable housing is, who it is for, what sites have been offered for development and information for those looking for affordable housing.

Attendees will be asked to fill in a questionnaire giving their views on the provision of affordable housing within their community.

Representatives from Cornwall Council and Calstock Parish Council will be there to answer any questions.
