WEST Devon planners have agreed to hold a site meeting at the location of a proposed boat park for Weir Quay Community Watersports Hub Club at Bere Ferrers.

The controversial application is within a site designated as being of special scientific beauty, a World Heritage site and an area of outstanding natural beauty.

Some 199 letters of objection have been submitted to the planning authority and 191 in support of the plans.
