WREATHS were laid at Albaston War Memorial on Sunday as part of Remembrance Day events in the Callington area.

Members of the Callington and District Royal British Legion started the day at Albaston where there was a parade led by Tavistock Stannary Band.

It was then the turn of St Ive and then Callington which had the biggest turn out in several years. Some 34 organisations laid wreaths at the war memorial and this was followed by a remembrance service in the parish church.
