A RECENT performing arts evening 'The Showcase' revealed the creative talent within the student body at Tavistock College.

During the evening 20 different performances entertained the large audience displaying a mix of class and exam work in drama, dance and music.

All year groups were represented with the evening starting with a moving performance of 'Jar of Hearts' from Glee Club.

The Fusion Dance Club performed two contemporary pieces and some break dancing, while GCSE Dance students showed off the broad repertoire and choreographic skills needed for this level.

Music GCSE students also entertained the audience with their own versions of contemporary classics from artists like Bruno Mars and Stone Sour.

The A Level performance studies students appeared several times and there was a performance from the Gospel Choir led by Tracy Harding, who sang a powerful arrangement of Simon and Garfunkel's 'Bridge Over Troubled Water'.
