CHAGSTOCK — one of Devon's most popular festivals — will return to Whiddon Down next year, and this year's will be longer and better than ever.
Event organiser Si Ford confirmed the family-friendly festival will take place between Friday July 22 and Sunday July 24, making the event one day longer than previous festivals.
The festival will, as in previous years, be raising money for Devon Air Ambulance and charity WaterAid, which provides sanitation and drinking water to the world's poorest people.
Acts confirmed so far include Devon acoustic roots and folk group Show of Hands, whose music ranges from traditional acoustic folk to their recent album 'Arrogance, Ignorance and Greed', blasting those behind the banking crisis. The band headlined the first Chagstock festival back in 2007, and return to headline the acoustic marquee on Friday night.
Other confirmed acts include John Otway and his Big Band, Okehampton?Battle of the Band winners the Sherpas, Stem Roach and The Fireblockers. News on other acts will be confirmed soon.
Tickets will go on sale in January.
