BUCKLAND Monachorum's annual flower show has been cancelled, it was announced this week.

The show committee regret that due to the poor growing season the village flower and produce show scheduled for Saturday August 17 has had to be called off.

The committee apologises to those enthusiastic gardeners, cooks and artists who promised to support this year's show, and looks forward to seeing them all, especially the children who take part, next year.

Traders who kindly agreed to advertise in this year's schedule will have a free entry next year - August 16, 2003.
