I WONDER how many over 50s in the town are feeling as frustrated and annoyed as I am at the insensitivity shown towards our age group by Meadowlands pool. One wonders if they have a policy of ageism directed towards us, given that the timetables are changed so frequently. This often results in clients travelling from as far away as Plymouth and Pensilva as well as local people, being disappointed and frustrated. Surely it should not be necessary to telephone each time one anticipates a visit? The whole purpose of a timetable is to create a structure by which we the clients can organise our lives. These frequent changes are impossible to keep track of unless one does contact the pool every single time. I welcome comments from other swimmers who may be feeling the same frustration.
