DEVON premier short mat bowls team played their first inter-county championship game and beat Cornwall B by 27 shots and 27-13 points.

Among the players were Graham Heaman from Merton and B Brook from Winkleigh.

The Devon A side, consisted B Clark, G Gerry of Shebbear, A Kerse and E James of Yarnscombe, lost to Cornwall A by 15 shots and 17-23pts.
