Tavistock Colts 17 Stonehouse Sharks 10 Tavistock started down the slope and dominated from the start but failed to score through basic errors which gave Stonehouse possession and their big forwards the opportunity to drive up the slope with some powerful rucking. Tavistock came back after Paddy Warlow worked hard to steal Stonehouse ruck ball, the forwards took control and released the backs for Andrew Smerdon  to score the first try which Eaun McCall converted. Scott Pluckrose caught the restart to release player of the match Josh O'Neil on one of his powerful runs but basic errors kept Stonehouse in the game and they were awarded a penalty which their scrum half Alex Buckley converted. Tavistock centre Jack Hodges started some strong runs to break up the midfield defence to release the pace of Andrew Smerdon to score his second try which brought the half time score to 12-3. Stonehouse playing down the slope started the second half well but after some big hits by Hammy Kerswill Tavistock regained possession and started to put some good phases together until the ball was passed to winger John Smith to score in the corner. The last quarter was all played in Tavistock's 22m and they struggled to clear their line against a determined Stonehouse pack. Eventually after several lineouts and penalties their scrum half dived in to score which he converted to bring the end to the game. l This week the Colts are away to Saltash 2.30pm.
