DEVON-based Encounters Arts is making a short documentary film called Missing From Home, that will share personal stories from people who have lived or are still living in care and in particular how this experience affects their relationship to the idea of 'Home'

In partnership with Exeter Youth Offending Team, Encounters Arts is looking for people of any age to take part in the film.

Missing From Home will explore what it means to be 'at home'—in yourself, in your body, in your environment. It will chart the dangers that people face when they lose any sense of what this means and the search people have to find a sense of home.

The film will be used to inform local Service providers, young people, parents, schools and society in general about the affects of living in care with a view to bringing about positive changes in the provision of care for young people.
