A ROAD in Bere Alston is to be closed off to through traffic to allow for the erection of scaffolding. Bedford Road on the B3257 will be closed for a seven-day period between now until October 9 ? warning signs will be up when the diversion is in operation. The alternative route is from Bedford Street to Whitehall Drive to Broad Park Road via Station Road/Fore Street via The Down to Bedford Street and vice-versa.
