WEST Devon's folk sensation is set to headline the sixth Morwellham Festival on Saturday, August 2.

Seth Lakeman, who is no stranger to Morwellham Quay, returns to the old mining port and will be performing alongside New York-based Irish singer/songwriter Dan Donnelly, Mad Dog McRae, singer/songwriter Tom Palmer, Speakeasy, the Rev 'Mr Freeborn John' Hammer, and Morwellham's own band the Madding Crowd.

His poignant song 'Blood upon Copper' is about the sweat and toil of working in a copper mine and based around Morwellham. His latest album 'Poor Man's Heaven' has hit the official top ten album charts.

The festival starts at 3pm and will conclude at 11pm. There will be food available in the Manganese Barn. Visitors to the quay are being asked to provide their own seating.

The proceeds of the festival will go to the upkeep and regeneration of Morwellham Quay, the Cornish Mining World Heritage Site, owned by the Morwellham Quay and Tamar Valley Trust.
