DEVON charity Hospiscare are holding a Service of Light in Chagford at the beginning of December and are inviting people to dedicate a light on a special tree to a loved one. Dedications will be recorded in a Book of Memory that will be available to view at the Chagford service and will remain at the Church of St Michael the Archangel until January 6, after which it will be housed in Hospiscare?s chapel in Exeter. The Chagford service takes place at the church on December 3, at 6pm. Hospiscare are holding a number of smaller services this Christmas, as well as a larger service in Exeter. A Tree of Light will be lit on Cathedral Green, Exeter, with each light representing a remembered loved one. Organiser Alison Palfrey, said: ?Christmas is a time when family members are missed, so everyone is welcome to join us and to remember someone who can?t be with them, whatever the reason.? Hospiscare has been providing local services for people with life threatening illnesses in Exeter, mid and east Devon for almost 25 years.
