I BELIEVE it makes economic sense to have one main centre for West Devon Borough Council, but selling the family silver to then finance a new executive gin palace for our leaders disguised by a commercial benefit? In an area already impossible to park correctly, especially on meeting days, why not a benefit for Tavistock people? For example, to stabilise our already high private and business council rates (tax)? Come on, Tavistock Chamber of Commerce, business associations, get your teeth into this, if you have any?
