OKEHAMPTON started at a fast and furious pace and after just ten minutes good forward play led to Andy Dennis crossing the line for the first score of the game, putting the home team in control.
Okehampton were soon back in Launceston's half and it was not long before centre Jamie Hoggins crossed the line for the second try. This was converted well in strong winds by Barry Down.
An injury meant a break in play which caused Okehampton to take their foot off the gas. This allowed the visitors to score two soft tries to bring them back to within two points of the home team.
Okehampton took control again and Colin Ewen scored a crucial try just before half time. This left the score at the break 17-10.
Okehampton started the second half strongly and a good back row move left Dave Watts to spring to the corner and score the try. Launceston fought strongly throughout the half and were rewarded with a try. Okehampton's defence was excellent.
