THE home side started with conviction and took the lead early in the first half. But North Tawton rallied and got back into the game with a Tony Fish equaliser.
After this it was North Tawton who took the game by the scruff of the neck with a goal soon after from Keith Steward.
This made the half-time score 2-1 to North Tawton.
In the second half North Tawton carried on where they left off with a strike from Stuart Paddon early in the second half.
Axminster tried to stage a comeback with a 25 yards free kick, which gave the North Tawton keeper no chance.
North Tawton then upped the pace again with strikes from Tony Fish and two from Richard Keast to run away with the game.
