NORTH Tawton scored after just eight seconds, making it a record for the club.
It started from Axminster?s kick off. Tawton?s Bragg tackled a defender and slid the ball past the keeper. Axminster came back at Tawton but good defending from Squires, Shields and Simon Keast held them out.
Tawton applied pressure but the linesman?s decision kept them out.
Ten minutes to half-time Axminster caught Tawton on the break and scored to make it level.
The second half saw both teams play good football, creating chances but unable to score. Good individual play by Green kept Axminster?s defence on their toes.
With 15 minutes to go, Bragg scored his second from good build-up play from Green and Elles.
Straight from the kick-off Tawton stole the ball and crossed it to Fields who hit it over the keeper, it struck the under crossbar and came out. Sweb followed up and tapped it in to make it 3-1.
Axminster battled on and had some good chances but was not long before Fields had splendid support and encouragement to seal it.
