HAVING watched the first XI draw 3-3 having lost their lead with two minutes to go the second XI were keen to ensure victory over West Buckland. The Kelly College team dominated the first half. Chances were coming to the forward line of Alex McCarthy and Kieron Loughlan but unfortunately these were not converted into points. Both the right half and left half (Oliver Richards and Nathan Probert) played exceedingly well and all through the match the ball zipped across the opposition?s D. In the second half the short corner routine went wrong, confusing the opposition more than The Kelly College team, and Guy Jedwab, from the edge of the D buried the ball into the corner. The defence of Sam Davy, James Rickard, George Hall and Ross Bowden were outstanding, ensuring that the goalkeeper was thoroughly cold and bored ? final score 1-0.
