HATHERLEIGH Carnival committee have launched their search for centenary carnival prince and princess candidates.
The criteria is that at least one of the pair has to be of primary school age and attending Hatherleigh, Highampton or Meeth primary schools.

The Royalty evening itself is a disco from 7pm ?til late, which will be held in Hatherleigh Town Hall, on Friday, September 12.
Voting for the centennial prince and princess ends at 8.30pm and Mrs Olive Reynolds will present this year?s Centenary Carnival Royalty at approximately 9pm.
The carnival committee would also like to exhibit any photographs or memorabilia of all past carnival prince and princesses. Spokesperson Louise Bater said: ?If a disco is not your thing, we hope you will pop in and visit the exhibition in the back room.?
The committee is asking anyone with old photographs to turn them out, (please write your name on the back of any photo?s to ensure a safe return) and hand them to Cindy Squire at Westbourne (beside the primary school) or Louise Bater at 34 Bridge Street.
