TO celebrate Education Sunday, schools from around Tavistock will take part in a ?Schools? Songs of Praise? at Tavistock Parish Church. St Rumon?s, St Peter?s, Tavistock Primary, Kelly Prep and Kelly College will all be sending along children to sing a special hymn or song which they have chosen. They will be supported by the Parish Church Choir and Kelly College, who will be bringing their orchestra. There will also be a celebration for the arrival of Mrs Clare Wesson, a new headteacher at St Rumon?s. She will be commissioned at a special ceremony involving the diocesan director of education, Dr Ruth Eade. Everyone is welcome to come and join in this Sunday (February 12) at 6pm as there will be plenty of audience participation.
