SCHOOLS in West Devon are being invited to join children's charity CHICKS to take part in a nationwide 'Mufti Day' at the end of the month.

CHICKS is inviting schools to encourage pupils to swap their school uniforms for fancy dress for the day on Friday March 30.

For the event pupils are asked to make a small donation to go to school in fancy dress.

One suggestion CHICKS has for a fancy dress theme is 'Olympics 2012' where children dress up to represent a country or a sporting event.
