TEACHERS, pupils, families and staff at Kelly College observed the two minutes' silence on Sunday, in honour of those who have lost their lives in battle.

The Remembrance Sunday Service began in the school's chapel with a mixture of prayers, blessings and readings. Among the speakers were Headmaster, Dr Graham Hawley; College Chaplain, the Rev Richard Bache and special guest, Brigadier Johnny Walker. The student body of Kelly College was also represented during the service as head girl, Ellen Riis-White and head boy, Jonty Newton, read passages aloud to the filled chapel.

Everyone then gathered outside at the Kelly College War Memorial where 4th form pupil Bertie Jayarajah played The Last Post to mark the two minutes' silence.

This service was the second part of the school's remembrance events, as last Friday, pupils, teachers and staff also came together to remember.
