SCIENTISTS say a glass of wine is good for you ? and Devon charity Hospiscare is calling on people to raise a glass later this month to help its latest fundraising initiative.
Hospiscare is staging ?Wine at 9? for the first time at 9pm on Friday, September 17. Hospiscare wants to encourage people to hold Wine at 9 events at home or out with friends and colleagues, all in aid of the charity?s work with people with life-threatening illnesses.
So whether you are a cabernet sauvignon sort or prefer a glass of shiraz, Hospiscare wants you to get involved.
Community fundraiser Joanne Wearne said: ?What better way to support your local hospice than to raise a glass of wine with family, friends or colleagues!
?Why not hold a Wine at 9 event in your home? You could hold a wine tasting evening, a wines of the world party, a dinner party or a wine and cheese party or you could even get your local pub involved.?
Tesco stores are supporting Wine at 9 by donating 10% from selected wines bought via Tesco stores from September 11 to 17. Tesco.com is also joining the party by making a 10% donation on the sale of a special Wine at 9 case of Tesco Finest Wines available this month from http://www.tesco.com/wine">www.tesco.com/wine
