THE first ever Royal National Lifeboat Institution public relation film entitled ?Saved by a motor lifeboat? will be shown at the Ordulph Arms in Tavistock on Tuesday May 11 at 7.30pm.

The film will be one of two to be shown at the evening, arranged by the Tavistock and District branch of the RNLI. The second will show rescue dramatisations, including one by the Plymouth lifeboat. This film was originally shown at last year?s gallantry awards.

There will also be a short talk on the RNLI, including what is happening in the local area, by the area fundraising co-ordinator for Devon, Clare Blight.

Everyone is invited to attend the evening, to which admittance is free ? whether a member of the RNLI or not. Refreshments will be served. There will then be the annual meeting of the branch, but there is no obligation to stay for this.

A draw in aid of the RNLI will be held during the evening.
