Dawlish . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .6

Okehampton Ladies . . . . . . . . .1

THIS was not the start to their season which Okehampton Ladies would have wanted, but Dawlish dominated the majority of play and this is reflected in the score line.

Kerry Drew made some fantastic saves in the first half and without her there would have been more balls in the back of the Okehampton net.

The away team struggled to find any flow to their game and Dawlish took advantage and were 3-0 up at half time.

Okehampton were a lot more positive after the break and started to play football. This spell of better play brought the goal, scored by Sarah Blowey, after a passing move involving several players.

When Okehampton were awarded a penalty they were 4-1 down, but Naomi Wilkins? shot went just outside the post.

Dawlish applied the pressure and scored two more goals to start the season in a way Okehampton had wished for.
