LIEUTENANT Commander Malcolm Pollock from Yelverton recently said farewell to the Devonport based HMS Cornwall after two years on board.

HMS Cornwall left Plymouth in March for a six month deployment as the Flagship of the NATO Task Force Standing Naval Force Atlantic.

Lt Cdr Pollock, who joined HMS Cornwall in August 2001, was the ship?s executive officer and second in command.

?It?s been a fantastic two years onboard. HMS Cornwall has a fine ship?s company,? he said.

Originally from Gosport Lt Cdr Pollock now lives in Yelverton with his wife Beverley and daughter Jenny, 11.

His next appointment is with Flag Officer Sea Training at Devonport Naval Base.
