OVER the past few weeks, 33 pupils at Whitchurch Primary School have participated in a cycling project run by the national Bikeability programme.

The programme is designed to appeal to children to undertake quality cycling training, developing skills they will need to cycle safely on busy roads.

The eight hour course is sponsored by the School Sport Partnership, with the intention that every child leaving primary education has the opportunity to receive Bikeability Level 2 training.

This training is aimed at encouraging both the pupils and their families to make more cycle journeys safely.
