I WOULD like to express my views on the catching of two Porbeagle sharks, as mentioned in the July 31 Okehampton Times.
I find it very sad that in this day and age people can take such pleasure from their exotic catch.
It is not certain how rare or scarce Porbeagle sharks are today but what is becoming increasingly clear is that they are intelligent sea fish and that their numbers are decreasing.
Isn?t it time there was better protection and awareness before they disappear altogether?
