EXETER St James completed the double over Belstone in a South Devon League division 2 game.
Batting first they got off to a flying start thanks to attacking knocks from South African professional Friedrichs (69, with 12 fours and one six) and Caine, who carried his bat for 74 (10 fours).
With all the Belstone bowlers except Greg Cornish coming in for some punishment the home side finished on 224 for 6 after their 40 overs.
The pacy Friedrichs then opened the attack for Exeter and achieved early breakthroughs from which Belstone never recovered, extras top scoring as they slid to 83 all out.
Touring team Clevedon Cavaliers (aka Nudgers) also proved too strong for Belstone, especially when Greg Cornish had to retire hurt after bowling just one ball, leaving the home attack well under strength.
Australian No 3 Kennedy top-scored with 40 as the Cavaliers all contributed to a tea-time score of 178 for 7.
Belstone made a disastrous start with two run outs in the first 3 overs. Allen (4 for 7) then deceived the middle order with his innocuous looking spin before a few lusty blows from skipper Richard Drake (17) and Chris Gomersall (22) took the margin of defeat below 100 runs.
Belstone's second consecutive defeat in the South Devon League almost certainly put paid to any chances of gaining the top spot in division 2. Visitors Torquay accumulated steadily before R Norris boosted their score to 158 for 6 with a hard hitting 65, including six 4s and two 6s.
Pick of the Belstone bowlers were Chris Gomersall with 3 for 26 and Rob Sandercock, who conceded only 14 runs from his 6 overs.
At the halfway point in Belstone's reply the game was wide open, with their total standing at 50 for 3, compared with Torquay's 47 for 2 at the same stage.
However, the necessary acceleration proved elusive in the face of economical Torquay bowling (Hunt the pick with 2 for 11 of his 9 overs) , but some lusty blows by Harry Bushin (30) in the last few overs left Belstone only 27 runs short.
Belstone's final league match is this Sunday away at South Devon.
