AFTER all the rain the pitch was in extremely good condition. Bere played against a strong wind but pressurised Calstock.
From a loose ball Ben Rushall made a surging run to shoot and score from 15 yards.
After a goalmouth melee, Bere were awarded a penalty for pushing, which resulted in Mark Yeoman slotting home.
Calstock came back and a Bere defender played them on side ? they raced through and scored.
The second half was a little disappointing, with Bere overhitting passes. Calstock?s keeper Michael Yarwood made a good save with a goalbound effort.
For all Bere?s endeavour the final ball was disappointing, and Calstock?s efforts were thwarted by good defending.
