THE fifth Westward League Cross Country race at the new venue at Bovey Tracey saw Tavistock Athletic Club tighten its grip on many of the individual and team places after some marvellous performances throughout the age groups. In the junior races, Rebecca Windemer showed her fine form finishing in a splendid 8th position in the under 13 Girl category. Nick Champion won his Under 13 Boys race with a tactical, measured performance. In the Under 15 Girls race Sarah Palmer finished 3rd. In the Senior Men 15 Tavistock runners took part. Jim Cole was first home with a gritty run which saw him finish in 6th position. Maddie Horton won the Senior Women?s event with a massive lead. In her first event representing Tavistock Megan Fell finished in an excellent 12 position.
