TAVISTOCK Athletic Club were well represented at the Frank Elford Autumn Trail run last weekend and picked up some silverware along the way.
This gruelling 8 miles race of cross country trail in Newnham Park, Plympton, had more than 700 hundred entries this year - a race record.
Allan Herdman was overall 1st in his M50 age group. The race incorporated the Devon AA Off Road Championships so there were more medals on offer, three going Tavistock?s way - Allan, again, for his 1st M50 finish, Fiona for 1st Lady and the threesome of Tony Symons, Dave Chanter and Allan were 2nd Vets Team.

The Autumn Trail has been typical of several races in and around Devon this year. Record numbers have been turning out and races have been filling up to capacity - some several weeks in advance. Tavistock Athletic Club expect this to continue and recommend that anyone hoping to enter this year?s Tavy 7, being held on Sunday, November 14, gets their form in quickly as there is a race entry limit.
