COUNTRY Cheeses in Tavistock has been named runner-up in the BBC Good Food Magazine Awards.
The shop, which specialises in cheeses from the West Country, was shortlisted after being nominated as one of the nation?s favourite shops by readers of the magazine.
Elise Jungheim, who runs the shop in Tavistock Pannier Market with her husband Gary, said she was thrilled to be in the top three and this was down to the support from their loyal customers.
Country Cheeses started as a market stall 13 years ago and stocks more than 100 hand-made cheeses from Devon, Cornwall and Somerset.
