BUDDING young Jonny Wilkinsons or Jason Robinsons will have the opportunity to try their skills at a special event being held at Tavistock Rugby Club this week. The club?s Under 10 squad is staging a special introduction to rugby session at the Sandy Park ground on Friday December 30 ? and they hope plenty of youngsters will come along to find out how much fun the game can be. Graham Dobie, assistant coach and one of the rugby day organisers, said: ?The training will be conducted by RFU qualified coaches and their assistants, who have all been Criminal Records Bureau checked. ?The aim of the day is to foster interest in rugby by the use of fun rugby-related activities and progressive practices with a firm emphasis on enjoyment ? all standards, abilities and physiques will be welcome.? Graham said the club was particularly keen to recruit some more players in the year 5 age group ? but all were welcome to attend the session, which runs between 12.30pm and 3.30pm.
