CUTTING off treasured locks is a hard thing for any young girl to do but for seven year-old Ruby Wood it was a snip, especially if it meant raising money for a very good cause.

With her fellow Princetown School pupils doing their bit to raise funds for the Little Princess Trust, Ruby bravely agreed to have her lovely long hair lobbed off by ten inches.

Thanks to Ruby’s efforts £470 has been raised for the charity, which makes wigs for children with cancer.

If anyone would like to donate on Ruby’s behalf to the Little Princess Trust ring her mum, Hannah Wood, on 01822 890890.
