CALSTOCK'S rowers were back in form for the third race of the season and the second at Penryn event last Sunday.
The U18 boys of Gary Collins, Gareth Davies, James Hilton and Ally Trotter — replacing Daniel Pook — won their four oar race for the first time this season.
The U16s mixed team of Ally Trotter, Krystal James, Sophie North and Gary Collins maintained their unbeaten record with another win.
The U16 boys — Ally Trotter, Richard Alford, David Hobbs and Jacob Treliving — took second place, maintaining a good average after winning the first event and coming second last week.
The U18 girls team of Krystal James, Nell Trotter, Sophie North and Kerry Hobbs have been consistent taking 3rd place for the third time.
Calstock's U14s pulled into fourth place. Senior lady Tara Rose also came in fourth in her pair of paddles race and Ally Trotter made third in his U16 pairs event.
The Randan event remains a trial for the Calstock crews and the senior fours, many of whom are novices, continue to gain experience in these competitive classes
The fourth race is at Mousehole on Saturday.
