A PRINCETOWN woman has been presented with a special award, in recognition of the role she plays in the village.

Rotary Club Community Service Awards are presented to people who it is considered have provided exceptional service in the community.

Terry Donnelly, the president of Yelverton Rotary Club, was pleased to support the nomination of Wendy Stones, of Two Bridges, for the award.

Terry said: 'Wendy has continually been prepared to 'go the extra mile' in her activity and support in so many parts of community life in Princetown.'

Rotary District Governor Maxine Stoyle listed Wendy's extensive list of achievements and involvements in Princetown before presenting her with the award on behalf of Yelverton Rotary Club.

She said: 'I am proud to make this award to Wendy Stones for her outstanding service to the local community in Princetown.'
