OKEHAMPTON Rotary Club is offering free blood pressure checks on Saturday March 31, as part of Stroke Awareness Week. The checks will be available at the association's coffee morning in the Charter Hall. President Ian Courtney said 'Okehampton Rotary is delighted to again be associated with the Stroke Association on this initiative, it is a simple exercise which for some people will have a life saving effect.' High blood pressure is the greatest risk factor for having a stroke.
