The charity was started by Dr Allenby together with Sandy Edney, a retired psychiatric nurse, in 2005 with £800 of funding from the Community Volunteer Bureau.
They now have a drop in centre at Trident House, number two Taylor Square, housing equipment for a number of activities, including darts, pool, table tennis, an art room and five computers with wi-fi.
The aim is to support people with mental problems and develop confidence and general life skills, and to educate and increase public awareness with the aim of reducing the number of suicides, currently estimated to be 5,500 in the UK.
Rotary president Clive Fairchild said he hoped the donation would help in their work and that the club was particularly pleased to support this Tavistock group.
