DO you fancy growing some fresh fruit and vegetables, but lack the space?

Okehampton United Charities are holding a public meeting to gauge support for a new community garden in the town.

The meeting will give people the chance to declare their interest in having a plot, and what they would want from the project. A new community garden would provide the chance to grow healthy local food, encourage children to get involved with gardening, and get keen gardeners socialising and sharing their passion.

The meeting is at Fairplace Church from 7pm on Thursday October 13.
