NOW in its third year the Merton Vintage Rally and Summer Fayre is even bigger than before.

Everyone is welcome to come along to the family day out, which includes a barbecue and bar available all day.

There will be classic cars and, for the first time, rides will be available in a beautiful but very rare vintage Rolls Royce 1927 – Phantom, previously used by The White House in the USA for special occasions.

When the owner passed away she left it to her son-in-law, who was the Secretary of State to President Roosevelt. The car was then used at The White House on special occasions and was also used to convey Sir Winston Churchill on his state visits in America.

This year there will be lots of attractions, including performances by Streetz and Majorettes.

Visitors can enjoy a range of stalls, a bouncy castle and fairground rides, as well as a tractor ride, Punch and Judy show, face-painting, and rides on a vintage bus. Entry costs £1 per person and is free to under 5s. The event will be held on Saturday, July 17 from 11am until 5pm.
