AN organisation which helps people get on the road so they can find work will be joining the West Devon Connect roadshow when it goes out and about across the borough this June.

Devon Wheels to Work (DW2W), which is based near Okehampton, offers jobseekers affordable, long-term motorcycle and moped loans so they can get employment and training.

West Devon Connect is a partnership scheme taking free information and advice about public and support services out to communities.

It is co-ordinated by West Devon Borough Council and each road show event is hosted by a customer service advisor who can answer all sorts of questions about everything from recycling to benefits.

Everyone is welcome and this June the road show will be stopping off at Belstone, Chagford, Exbourne, Hatherleigh and Princetown.

Other organisations joining in at various locations include Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB), Oakhouse Foods, Wessex Home Improvement Loans (WHIL), Devon County Council's Family Information Service (DISC), Parklands Leisure Centre, and Dartmoor National Park Authority (DNPA).

West Devon Connect dates for June — June 4: Hatherleigh Market, 9.30am to noon with DW2W, CAB and Oakhouse Foods.

June 7: Exbourne, The Burrow, 10am to noon.

June 13: Belstone, Village Hall, 10am to noon with WHIL.

June 14: Chagford Library, 10.30am to 12.30pm with DW2W and DISC.

June 18: Hatherleigh Market, 9.30am to noon with CAB, WHIL and Parklands Leisure Centre.

June 19: Princetown Community Centre, 1.30pm to 3.30pm CAB advice drop-in service.

June 28: Chagford Library,10.30am to 12.30pm with Oakhouse Foods and DNPA to discuss the Chagford Masterplan and other development in the town.
