A BUSLOAD of information comes to Exbourne next week with the visit of the Devon In Touch Roadshow. The Devon County Council initiative offers people around the county the chance to get instant access to information technology aboard a purpose-built vehicle commissioned by the Council. The In Touch roadshow will be near the village hall in Exbourne next Friday, December 17 from 11am to 4pm. Equipped with the latest technology, the vehicle gives people in rural communities the chance to use the internet and experience the benefits of going on line. They can also find out more about county council services and how to access them. Since beginning its tour in September 2003, the roadshow has so far visited more than 150 communities. Staff on board have been delighted by the response ? particularly that of older people keen to discover the fun of surfing the web and sending emails to friends and relatives at home and abroad. The roadshow is a Devon County Council service, in association with BBC Radio Devon and Devon Fire and Rescue. The vehicle is equipped with six computers for free use by the public.
