AS a follow on to G Whitfield's letter in the Times (August 8) re parking and access in Trelawney Road — most of the residents objected to the siting of the rugby club at Sandy Park on the grounds of vehicular problems and unsuitability of the road.
West Devon Borough's planning committee ignored these objections and permitted this development, including parking for 100 cars and coaches.
What is equally worrying are the excessive speeds at which vehicles are driven along Kilworthy Road. It has become a racetrack. Our greatest fears have come to fruition.
It is wishful thinking to expect councillors to to anything sensible!
